Causes of Acne

Acne is an inflammation of the skin that affects the sebum glands and hair follicles due to clogged skin pores. Many factors cause acne, including the following:


Ingrown Hair


The habit of shaving beards that are often done by men can also trigger hair to grow into the skin. This condition can cause inflammation and grow pimples on the chin. So this often interferes with daily activities because it causes pain.

Hormone Changes


The next cause of acne, namely the occurrence of hormonal changes. Androgen production in women can increase when entering puberty. In addition, women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) can also experience hormonal imbalances, which can potentially cause acne.

Not Keeping Face Clean


One of the most common causes of acne is not keeping your face clean. When facial hygiene is not maintained properly, the pores can become clogged and leave dirt stuck to the face. This is what often causes acne.

Eating Oily Food


Another cause of acne is often eating oily food. A person who overeats oily foods such as fried foods can make the oil glands produce more oil which causes inflammation.
