RA Dickey Wants To Climb But Mets Won't Let Him

The Wall Street Journal

New York Mets pitcher RA Dickey is preparing to climb Mount Kilimanjaro which is located in Tanzania. The mountain is considered one of the largest on the planet at about 19,334 feet.

Dickey is making the trek for Bombay Teen Challenge, a charity that helps victims of sex trafficking in India. However, Mets managenement is not too pleased with the knuckleballers offseason plans. The team has reportedly sent a letter telling the picther if he makes the trip he could be cut from the team.

The nine-year veteran has never really caught on with a team until he got an opportunity with the Mets two spring trainings ago. He has also played with the Texas Rangers, Minnesota Twins and the Seattle Mariners.
With a career record of 41-50 and an 4.34 era.

The 37-year-old has two-years left on a deal worth over $7 million.

From The Sports Mind Of RB:
I could understand why the team would not want him to get injured on this trip. But just leave it to the Mets to always look like the bad guy even if there minds are in the right place. And trust me as a Mets fan the team rarely does the smart thing.
