Milwaukee Brewer's outfielder Ryan Braun has tested positive for a banned substance. The 2011 NL MVP continues to say that he is innocent.

Under MLB rules a first time violator would have to serve a 50-game suspension. A spokesman for Braun said in a statement issued to ESPN and The Associated Press that there are “highly unusual circumstances surrounding this case which will support Ryan’s complete innocence.”

Braun was told of the positive test before being awarded the mvp award last month. The substance is said to be synthetic testosterone and he is appealing the suspension.

Braun signed a deal last offseason that could keep him in a Brewer's uniform until 2020.

From The Sports Mind Of RB:
I was shocked at first when I saw this but that wore off pretty quickly. If Derek Jeter is ever named then I will really be shocked.
