Winner:
Ivan Nova of the New York Yankees- In a season where the Yankees have had so many shakeups in their rotation Nova has been a pleasant surprise. Nova was thrust into the starting rotation and a playoff race at the same time. He leads all rookie pitchers 15 wins.

Michael Pineda of the Seattle Mariners- The young right-hander with the power arm started like a ball of fire when he came up but has taken a step back since the all-star break. He definitely has a bright future ahead of him.

Mark Trumbo of the Los Angeles Angels- He leads rookie hitters in homeruns, rbis and runs scored. Trumbo is a very good fielder and has done pretty good damage in a light hitting Angels lineup.

Jordan Walden of the Los Angeles Angels- Walden has been one of the most dominant closers in the AL this season with a fastball topping out in the high 90's. Walden is also helped out because the Angels have been in playoff contention all season.

Dark Horse:
Jeremy Hellickson of the Tampa Bay Rays- Hellickson has not only been one of the most consistent rookies all year but pitchers as well. His calm and cool demeanor has helped him stay calm during the Rays quest for a playoff spot. His era has been around 3.00 all season.
