Winner:
This award will probably go to Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun or first baseman Prince Fielder. So I decided to lump both if them in to this one paragraph. Both have led the team to a lead in the NL Central and are fan favorites. This could not come at a better time for Fielder because he will be a free agent at the end of the season. Braun is also looking to win the NL batting title as he is chasing shortstop Jose Reyes of the New York Mets .331 to .329.
Dark Horse:
Matt Kemp of the LA Dodgers- Kemp has had one of the best years in recent baseball history but just like his teammate Clayton Kershaw it might go unnoticed because of the team he plays for. The old saying is "We can lose with you, so we can lose without you." That is true but when a season like this does not come around very often. Kemp has scored 99 runs, stolen 39 bases, driven in 110 runs, with 27 doubles, 33 homeruns while hitting .314. Not to mention he has played in every game this year for the Dodgers and played what most might call a gold glove centerfield. He could also be up for Comeback Player of the Year after having a rocky go of it last season.
