Arkansas Razorbacks tight end Garrett Uekman, a 19-year-old redshirt freshman was found unconscious in his room Tuesday.
A corner's report said he died of a heart condition called cardiomyopathy also known as the heart muscle disease. The condition causes the heart to enlarge and can cause sudden heart attack.
University officials say they did not know of Uekman's condition beforehand.
The Razorbacks who are ranked #3 in the BCS rankings will take on the top ranked LSU Tigers this Friday.
