 In the 128th edition of "The Game" the Harvard Crimson Tide dismantled the Yale Bulldogs 45-7 Saturday afternoon.

In front of 55,137 fans at the Yale Bowl Crimson Tide quarterback Collier Winter threw for 355 yards of the teams 506 total yards. It was the fifth win in a row for the team in this annual matchup. They finish their season 9-1 overall and 7-0 in the Ivy League.

Harvard scored 45 unanswered points to put the game away. Coach Tim Murphy is now 13-5 against his Ivy League foe.

Yale quarterback Patrick Witt was 24 of 39 for 226 yards with 3 interceptions in the loss. Witt who was a candidate for the Rhodes Scholar decided to forgo is last interview to play in this game. Yale falls to 5-5 and 4-3 in the Ivy League.

The beginning of the game was marred by a deadly crash which occurred during the tailgate. One woman was pronounced dead after being taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital and injured two others who are in critical but stable condition. The man behind the wheel was said to have lost control of his U-Haul truck was taken into custody and questioned by police.

This is one of those rivalry games in which records don't matter. The qb for Yale passed up on a prestigious scholarship opportunity to play. I guess they don't call it "The Game" for nothing.
