Sources tell ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter that the Cardinals are set to sign wideout Larry Fitzgerald to a 8-year $120 million deal. It also includes $50 million guaranteed.
Fitzagerald, 27 is a five-time pro bowler who has accumulated 613 receptions, over 8000 yards receiving and 65 touchdowns since since being drafted third overall back in 2004.
Fitzgerald is in his last year of a 4-year $40 million contract he signed in March of 2008.
From the Sports Mind of RB:
This is a no brainer for the Arizona Cardinals. Larry Fitzgerald is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL if not the best. If newly acquired QB Kevin Kolb can continue to progress and become the guy the Cardinals traded for then Fitzgerald can look to add to his monster numbers. The team will still have to find a way to keep the offense going with Fitzgerald seeing more double teams since the trade of wideout Anquan Boldin to the Baltimore Ravens.
