The Oakland Raiders with the 18th pick in the third round of the supplemental draft picked Terrell Pryor.
Pryor, a former Ohio St. quarterback is suspeneded fo the first five games of the NFL season and can't practice with the team until that suspension is over.
The Raiders have Jason Campell as their starting quarterback after coming to the team in a trade last season. The team will undoubtedly face criticsm for this move after drafting former first round pick JaMarcus Russell during the 2007 draft, who was cut at the beginning of last season.
No other players were selected in this draft.
From the Sports Mind of RB:
I have no idea what the Raiders are thinking. Maybe they catch lightning in a bottle with Pryor but that's a lot to ask for. He did improve every year during his tenure at Ohio St. but his maturity and arm strength have always come into question. But what do I know the Raiders have been a perennial playoff team and have a bunch of Super Bowls in the past decade. Wait, wait that's right, they don't.
