The comeback story continues.

The NFL Network reports that the Philadelphia Eagles and Michael Vick have agreed on a new six-year deal worth about $100 million with close to $40 million guaranteed.

Vick, 31, has come along way since serving 18 months in federal prison for dog fighting charges. This will be the second deal signed by Vick in his career as he had a 10-year $130 million deal in 2005 as part of the Atlanta Falcons.

The Eagles will hold a press conference tomorrow at 2:30 pm to announce the deal.

Vick was set to make $16 million this year as the Eagles used their franchise tag on him last February.

From The Sports Mind of RB:
Where do the Eagles get the money for all these signings? Having three Pro-Bowlers in the secondary is not enough. Congrats to Vick because he has served his time and is trying to turn his life around. In many people's eyes he will always be a dog killer who should have been put away for life or put down like the dogs he mistreated and abused. ESPN the Magazine in their next issue has a white Michael Vick on the cover trying to illustrate if he were a different color he probably would not face the same vitriol he does now. I disagree with the point but it was a valid thoughout argument to the response he has gotten since his return to the NFL. I had a conversation with a friend of mine who is an avid dog lover and the topic of Michael Vick and why people hate him so much came up. People who kill people, rapists, drug dealers and so on and so forth don't get the treatment Vick does. Then he said "...animals, children and seniors fall into the category of those who can't fend for themselves or just need more help than others do and if you take advantage of them you deserve all the grief and hatred that comes your way." Do I agree with this notion? Maybe but are we ever going to forgive him for his past mistakes?
