Texas A&M denies sending a withdrawal letter to the Big 12 as reported by the New York Times on Monday.

School spokesperson James Cook refutes the story that A&M sent anything to Big 12 Chairman Brady Deaton that they were leaving the league. The school did say they received an outline for withdrawal procedures from Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe on Monday.

Reports have surfaced for over the past month that the Aggies were looking to head to the SEC making them the third Big 12 team Nebraska(Big Ten) and Colorado(Pac 12) to leave the conference in the past year.

If Texas A&M were to leave they might face a hefty exit fee which could reach well into the $10 million range.

Fom The Sports Mind of RB:
TCU in the Big East, really? Colorado and Utah in the Pac 12, seriously? And now Texas A&M to the SEC. We should put all teams in a  hat and just put them in different conferences. This is just turning into musical chairs with all these teams looking to go elsewhere.
