The New York Jets looked very good in their second preseason game as they beat the Cincinnati Bengals 27-7.

The Jets were clicking on all cylinders as Mark Sanchez threw for 173 yards on 12-20 passing with two touchdowns. Plaxico Burress in his first game witht the team had three catches for sixty-six yards and one touchdown. The offense wsas able to move the ball the entire game even practice squad rookie Chris Jenkins had a long 69-yard run in the fourth quarter. Nick Fold was even able to hit a 50-yard field goal in adverse conditions.

The Bengals were a much different story and team from the one the Jets faced last Thanksgivng. Carson Palmer did not start at quarterback, but instead it was rookie Andy Dalton of the Rose Bowl champions TCU. Gone were brash veteran wideouts Terrell Owens and Ochocinco with an injury for Owens and free agency for Cinco. The Bengals could not get anything going on the offensive side of the football and they just seemed over-matched by the Jets on defense.

From the Sports Mind of RB:

The Jets look like the team Rex Ryan always said would win a Super Bowl. With more reps and familiarity the offense could only get better and make this team very scary. Antonio Cromartie in an interview with CBS 2 during the game said "The only thing the defense needs to do is play and they were a bit uptight last year." If a team that went to the AFC Championship game was uptight what could this team do this year?

The Bengals are a disater and I feel sorry for all those fans out there that root for them. With the Reds out of playoff contention it is going to be a long winter for the Queen City.
