Colts Sign Collins, Concern Over Manning's Health

The Indianapolis Cots have come to terms with veteran QB Kerry Collins. Collins,38, announced his retirement from the league after last season.

The signing raises a red flag as concerns for Peyton Manning's health continue to linger. Manning is still healing from neck surgery he had last March and it could mean the end to the longest active streak of games started by a quarterback at 227. The fomer holder of that streak was Brett Favre at 297 before missing a game last season due to injury.

The Pro-Bowler has not played in a preseason game for the Colts and has not participated in practice.

From the Sports Mind of RB:

The Colts should definitely be worried if Peyotn Manning misses anytime. No offense to Kerry Collins or the other quarterbacks on the Colts roster but none of them are going to the Hall of Fame or can turn water to wine like Manning can. I know Jim Irsay and Colts nation are praying to whoever they pray to becuase not only are the Houston Texans salivating but the rest of the league is taking notice as well.
