Former Ohio St. quarterback Terrelle Pryor worked out for NFL teams today and will not appeal the five-game suspension levied against him by the league.
Seventeen teams were at Pryor's pro-day in which he ran the 40-yard dash and did other football related activities.
This is leading up to the supplemental draft which was postponed last Wednseday due to the NFL lockout which took place over the summer. The draft is for players who did not file for the NFL draft held back in April or who are not able to head back to school because of eligibility issues.
Pryor left Ohio St. after being suspended for the first five games of this upcoming season and after head coach Jim Tressel resigned.
From the Sports mind of RB:
Coming out of high school Pryor was the best prospect in the country according to Rivals. There was much fanfare over his decision to go to Ohio St. becuase it was well after most players had already decided to sign their letter of intents and this was just a preview of things to come. At Ohio St. Pryor was able to improve his numbers throwing for more yards and touchdowns every year after his freshman campaign. The problems he will have in the league is being lumped into the same conversation as Vince Young as a big quarterback in college who had an awkward throwing delivery and must now become a thrower not runner. But the most important thing is the question about his maturity. As owner Jim Irsay of the Colts tweeted "Not taking Pryor ... what VET QB would u vote 4 to sign that's out there? If sum1 has 2 hold the fort early season, who u going with?"
