The judge in the Roger Clemens case declared a mistrial because the prosecution used evidence the judge had ruled out of this trial before it even began. The evidence used was taped testimony from Andy Pettitte's wife stating Clemens had told Pettitte he had used steriods. There is still a slight chance Clemens can face charges again on perjury.
From the Sports Mind of RB:
You know who is pretty happy that this case ended in a mistrial? Andy Pettitte. Even though their friendship has probably been strained since these proceedings have taken place it could not be fun to testify again and again against a best friend and former teammate.
Barry Bonds is probabaly thinking why the prosecutors on the Clemens case couldn't be the ones on his case?
